Leopardspots Bengals are registered and experienced, hobby breeders of the Bengal cat. We began breeding Bengals in 2002. Over the years we have been lucky enough to offer a home to many exquisite Bengals from around the world and proud to have bred some exceptional Bengal kittens of our own, several going on to represent the breed on the bench becoming GR and Supreme GR Champions.
After many years of offering all our energy, time and focus to our cats and breeding program in 2014 we decided to take a break from breeding to travel the world. Desperately missing the joy of welcoming and rearing the kittens of this intelligent and exotic breed of cat into the world, in 2018 we decided to resume our breeding program.
Happily welcoming our new stud boy Glitterglam Raja of Leopardspots and queen Silverglam Ranu of Leopardspots. This stunning pair will be joined by a new friend or two very soon.
As has always been our policy we wish to keep our breeding program small to ensure that all our beloved Bengal babies have the attention, love and care they deserve during birth and weaning.
Markings and type are important. The Bengal cat has a standard and set of points to adhere to like any pedigree cat. It is the leopard like looks that attracts so many admirers to the Bengal breed. That being said aesthetics should never come first. It is the temperament that should be considered as number one priority when breeding any kind of kittens perhaps even more so when the breed itself descends it it's early timeline from the mating of a domestic feline to a wild cat.
Our kittens are born and reared in our home. They are given all our love and care as valued members of our feline family. We care about where our Bengal babies go after they leave us and make their own way in the world. We usually prefer to adopt our babies out to pet homes and only rarely consider allowing kittens to be placed in homes for breeding purposes. In this instance we will only place kittens with small, hobby breeders who keep their cats indoors and love them as pets first and foremost.

The leopard cat (Prionailurus bengalensis) is a small wild cat native to continental South, Southeast and East Asia. Only slightly larger than the average domestic cat. Leopard cats are solitary creatures apart from during mating season. The Bengal cat we know and love today is derived from the mating of the Asian Leopard cat to a domestic cat. As the breed developed and grew in numbers Asian Leopard cats were bred directly to Bengal cats resulting in a more wild look.

Exotic, endearing, energetic. The Bengal cat is full of fun. He loves the company of humans and other cats. He enjoys exploring and is anything but boring. With the striking style of the leopard cat he will win the hearts of many and once you give him yours you will have a friend for life. When fed on the correct diet and cared for the Bengal can easily reach the age of 18-20 years. The Bengal cat has a pelt and not ordinary cat fur therefor many people who are allergic to cats can stroke, play with and even give a home to a Bengal baby. Many Bengal cats enjoy playing in water. They do not like to be left alone for long periods of time and require company be that of humans of other felines. They are cunning and can not easily be out smarted. They have excellent memories and are always loyal to those who are loyal to them.
